2018 BLACK SHEEP: BAŠKA TO FACE AN INVASION OF DANCING BLACK SHEEP

Mark the third weekend in May in your calendars for the Black Sheep, yet another edition of the festival of lamb, individuality, creativity, island heritage, popular culture and sports. Following last year’s successful comeback, Baška on the island of Krk will once again become the center of entertainment, culture, gastronomy and sports, featuring numerous concerts, exhibitions, workshops, culinary presentations and outdoor activities.

Last year, we enjoyed the fantastic gigs by Jinx, Let3 and The Beat Fleet, and this year, you will be able to dance your heart out to the sounds of DJ Smeđi Šećer, Detour, Psihomodo Pop, My Buddy Moose and Grapevine Babies.

Since the festival takes place in late spring, the weather will be ideal for guided hiking and bicycle tours allowing recreational athletes to see the most important historical and cultural sites in Baška and enjoy the breathtaking island scenery. The sports part of the festival will feature the Corinthia Cup – Jure Vukasović Memorial Regatta, Black Jancić Children’s Football Tournament, and Ivica Juničić – Junac Veterans’ Memorial Football Tournament. Naturally, nobody will starve or leave hungry owing to the many delicacies made from Baška-grown lambs and a number of other traditional island products. This year’s attractive three-day festival program featuring culinary, music, cultural and sports events will once again be executed by the Studio Conex team, supported by the hosts, Baška Municipality, Baška Municipality’s Tourist Board, and Black Sheep’s main sponsor and partner, Valamar Riviera.
